Our Remedy Swap Shop Event

Join us on the 9th of November for a charity swap shop

We are all for raising money for a good cause here at Our Remedy. This is why we will be hosting a swap shop, in London, on the 9th of November 2019.

What’s a swap shop?

A swap shop is a pop-up event where you bring your unwanted clothes and swap them with new-to-you ones. 

This is a great way to help the environment and reduce the number of clothes going to waste. Fast fashion is a big issue in the world and we want to be part of the solution.

It’s like when you wear your sister’s clothes. It feels like you’ve got new stuff because it is new to you and it hasn’t been on the gram yet. Give your clothes a new lease of life when you pass them on to others.

What’s the charity?

All of the money made from ticket sales will be donated straight to the charity Bloody Good Period. This charity aims to combat period poverty. 

Period poverty affects people in the UK and all over the world. Sanitary items are expensive, and too often out of reach for those who need them. Tampons and pads shouldn’t be a ‘luxury item’.

How does the Swap Shop work?

• First off, you will need to buy a ticket for £10 which can be brought here
• Then the idea is that everyone brings up to 20 items to the pop-up shop either to a Vape and Juice store before the day, or on the day to the event location, before 10 am
• Your items will be exchanged for tokens
• You then turn up to the event, with your tokens and shop until you drop!
