It’s not just another Monday, it’s another Monday to excel! Okay, enough Caitlyn Jenner for now. But, she’s right. Every day is a gift, even if you’ve had a great weekend and you hate your job that starts promptly at 9 am on a Monday morning.
There are ways, even if you hate your job, to brighten up the start of your week. In this blog, we’re going to share some ideas that you might not have thought of before, including using CBD to help reduce stress and anxiety.
As you probably are well aware, you never regret a workout. You might regret pulling the covers over your head and missing that morning run, gym session or class. But you won’t regret getting those endorphins flowing and energising your morning.
Exercise may help to ease depression and anxiety too. This is due to the endorphins which are natural cannabis-like brain chemicals. These can help enhance your sense of wellbeing. So, if you are someone who feels pretty low on a Monday or even anxious about the week ahead, then start it off with a workout.
Practice self-care on a Sunday
Self-care is more important than ever. We live in a world that demands us to check our emails at any hour, any day of the week. It’s all go go go. If you are feeling stressed in your personal or work life then your mood will reflect that. Make sure that between your busy social events at the weekend that you take time for you.
Sunday is the perfect day for a warm bath, a good film, and even a hot chocolate. If anxiety is really taking hold then try a dose of CBD, which has been found to help with symptoms of anxiety and stress. You might feel anxious about your week ahead or stressed about something in your personal life, which can sometimes find its way into your working life too.

Use CBD to help with stress and sleep
If you start your week on the backfoot with sleep, then you’re not going to catch up too well. If you have had a pretty heavy weekend of nights out then getting to bed early on Sunday night is paramount. Have a warm bath, read your book and put lavender oil on your temples before drifting off into a restful sleep.
If you are someone who struggles to switch off and relax on a Sunday night because you are thinking about work, or the weekend you have had, then try CBD oil. CBD has been found to help relax you, reduce anxiety, stress and therefore help you to drift off to sleep.
Make lunch plans
Who says you can’t go out for lunch on a Monday? See if someone in the office fancies a chat over a panini or superfood salad at lunchtime. Or even better if you have a friend who works close by to your office who you can meet up with.
If you are on a saving money scheme, then you could always go for a walk and a talk then enjoy a packed lunch when you get back to your desk. A little walk at lunchtime will also help you to feel refreshed for the afternoon.
Order yourself a treat to be delivered
Have you ever ordered something after a glass of wine and forgot about it? Or is that just me? The feeling when you get that parcel is pretty good. Try ordering yourself something online over the weekend that will be delivered to your desk on Monday. Now, this could get pretty expensive, but maybe once a month as a payday treat?
Maybe the item you order is Our Remedy CBD!
Brighten up your commute
Commuting to work can sometimes be the ball ache that sends you dreading Mondays. Why is it on a Monday you can never get a seat on the train? And why are there traffic lights everywhere on Monday mornings? If the commute is making you dread Mondays, then you need to brighten up your commute.
Here are a few things to try:
- Read your book or listen to your audiobook
- Find a podcast that keeps you gripped
- Get off the bus or train a stop earlier, or park further away to get a little exercise
- Buy your favorite coffee from the local coffee shop, with your reusable cup, of course
Set yourself a goal
Your weekly goal can really set the tone for the week. Maybe you’ll commit to doing 10k steps, catching up with family and friends in the evening, taking your dose of CBD daily for stress, sleep or anxiety, making sure you are in bed by 10 each night. Whatever your goal, challenge yourself to stick to it for a super motivated Monday and week ahead.
Don’t dread Mondays!
Monday doesn’t have to be something to dread. It is a new day and the start of a new week. If you are really feeling down about Mondays, despite trying all of the above, then it might be time to consider your career and whether it is the right choice for you.
If it is anxiety and stress that is causing your Monday blues, then consider CBD oil to help you manage the symptoms. You can even add a dropper to your morning coffee once it has cooled!
After all, there are 53 Mondays to get through each year, and you don’t want to dread 15% of your year do you?
